Refund & Cancellation Policy
This Refund & Cancellation Policy forms part of our Terms of Service and explains how subscriptions, pay-as-you-go credits (“Credits”), cancellations and refunds work on SeoWrite, operated by DEVITGROUP LTD.
How payments and refunds are processed
Payments are processed by our merchant of record, Polar Software Inc., which acts as reseller of SeoWrite and is responsible for collecting and remitting applicable VAT and sales taxes and for processing any refunds. Polar appears as the merchant on your payment statement. Where a refund is due, it is issued through the merchant of record to your original payment method.
Subscriptions and cancellation
Subscription plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You may cancel at any time via the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and no further charges will be made. You keep access to your plan until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Right to cancel — 14 days
If you buy as a consumer, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 give you 14 days to cancel. By completing a purchase on SeoWrite you expressly request that we begin supplying immediately. That request does not take your cancellation right away. It means only that if you cancel, you pay for the part you have already had.
Subscriptions. Starting the service immediately does not remove your right to cancel. You keep it for the full 14 days, and if you cancel within that window we refund what you paid less a proportionate amount for the part of the billing period already supplied. The right ends earlier only if the service has been fully performed within those 14 days.
Credits. Buying a pay-as-you-go top-up does not remove your right to cancel either. You keep it for the full 14 days. If you cancel within that window we refund what you paid for that top-up, less a proportionate amount for the Credits you have already used, so an unused top-up is refundable in full and a partly used one is refundable in proportion to the Credits still remaining.
None of this affects your statutory rights where the service is faulty or not as described.
Credits — refunds and expiry
Credits have no cash value. Within the 14-day cancellation right described above, a pay-as-you-go top-up is refundable as set out there: in full if you have used none of it, or less a proportionate amount for the Credits you have already used. Unused pay-as-you-go Credits may be refundable within 14 days of purchase where no Credits from that top-up have been applied, which is the case we can settle in full and fastest; where some have been used, we work the proportion out with you. Outside that window Credits are non-refundable except where required by law. Subscription Credits expire at the end of each billing cycle; pay-as-you-go Credits expire 12 months after purchase.
How to request a refund
To request a refund, contact [email protected] and we will review your request in line with this policy and your statutory rights.
If you are a consumer in the EU, you can also withdraw from your contract using our withdrawal form, which does not require you to sign in or to contact us first. Withdrawing through that form is settled on the same basis as set out above: within the 14-day period you pay a proportionate amount for what has already been supplied. Using the form does not give you a different refund entitlement from the one described on this page — it is a quicker way to exercise the same right.
