Privacy Policy
Payments
When you buy a paid plan or credits, your payment is processed by our merchant of record, Polar (Polar Software, Inc.). Polar is the reseller and seller of record for the transaction: it collects and processes your payment and billing details (such as your name, email address, billing address, tax identifiers where applicable, and payment/transaction data) in order to take payment, calculate and remit any applicable sales tax or VAT, prevent fraud, handle chargebacks, and issue your receipt or invoice. For these purposes Polar acts as an independent data controller of that payment and billing data, and its processing is governed by Polar’s Privacy Policy.
We do not receive or store your full payment-card details, but Polar does provide us with your billing identity (such as your name, email, billing country and any VAT/tax identifier) so we can operate your account, keep the tax records we are required to keep, and provide support — and SeoWrite is the controller of that account and billing-identity data, as described elsewhere in this policy. Our lawful bases for this billing-identity data are the performance of our contract with you (to operate your account) and our legal obligations (to keep tax and accounting records); we retain it for as long as your account is active and thereafter for the period we are legally required to keep tax records (six years in the UK).
To exercise your rights over the payment and billing data that Polar holds as a controller (for tax, fraud and receipts), contact Polar at [email protected]; to exercise your rights over the account and billing-identity data that SeoWrite holds, contact us using the details in this policy.
Server-Side Analytics Measurement
In addition to standard browser analytics via Google Analytics (GTM), SeoWrite records certain service events — such as account creation, subscription purchases, and content generation — directly from our servers using the Google Analytics Measurement Protocol. This server-side measurement is used solely for product analytics (understanding how SeoWrite is used) and is not used for ads personalisation or shared with third parties for advertising purposes. If you wish to request deletion of your analytics data, please contact us via the details in the policy above.
Business customers — Data Processing Agreement
Where you use SeoWrite on behalf of a company or other organisation and, in doing so, instruct us to process personal data (for example, personal data included in your prompts or content), we act as your data processor and you are the controller. That processing is governed by our Data Processing Agreement, which forms part of our Terms of Service and lists our sub-processors. This Privacy Policy describes the data for which SeoWrite is itself the controller (such as your account, authentication, billing-identity and website-analytics data).
